Hello! I must be running a half marathon ideal now, however am taking a “DNS” that means “Did Not Start” in runner talk  

Ben felt ill all the time yesterday as well as I didn’t want him to have to get up incredibly early, however I didn’t want to go solo to this (I go to better races or races with buddies solo). Plus, my quads were worn out all week after last weekend’s half – so last night as I was about to set my alarm I made a decision not to. I won this race in a contest on Runner’s Rambles blog so I believed it was going to be my lucky day. I feel like a loser for skipping out, however my quads (and Ben) feel like winners for being able to rest.

Pohybujúce sa na! Rewind to last night…

My finest buddy Cindy lives in palm Springs. It’s not that far, however we seriously don’t see each other enough! (For the record, these geography lessons are for me since I want to get much better at understanding where things are.)

She was in town this weekend so we satisfied up with her fiancé for dinner at Taco Surf.

We started with chips as well as margaritas.

But, this location doesn’t have a full liquor permit so they made the margaritas with wine?! Weak sauce.

I got a huge ol’ tostada salad with their fried fish. This is one of those situations where the salad is the most unhealthy thing on the menu. But, I eat salads since I like them, not since they are low calorie (this one was far from low cal). Bolo to chutné.

We stayed speaking up until the restaurant was closing. It was so great to see them.

This morning we slept in huge time – till after 8am! I feel much better about skipping the race since I believe I truly needed sleep (and am back to my incredibly early get up phone call tomorrow).

When we lastly crawled out of bed I made a huge smoothie to share. In the mix: strawberries from the Farmer’s Market, ice as well as Mango Lassi.

The FM strawberries are delicious, however you have to eat them so fast! We gotten them Friday as well as they’re already going bad!

Ben ate Mexican food leftovers as well as I had a huge protein pancake. I don’t have pumpkin so I had to modification up my normal pumpkin pancake recipe. I generally subbed cottage cheese for pumpkin as well as it worked  

The batta: 2 eggs, 1/4c cottage cheese, 1/3c oatmeal, dash: cinnamon, stevia, baking soda, baking powder. dust with chia seeds while cooking.

This made 2 huge ones which I topped with almond butter as well as syrup.

Today’s a hectic day for a Sunday! My grandma’s getting out of the healthcare facility (‘member I stated she’s sick) as well as Ben as well as I are assisting shift her back home. as well as we’re having a birthday celebration for my dad!
